Another braid question (or 2)

How much braid do I put on the spool, I've got some mono backing on, but unsure how much braid to put on.

And how long of a mono leader ( braid-mono-lure)?

now much of your braid will your reel take ? and how much braid is on your spool? if your reel will only take 200m and you have a 300m spool, I would put 150m on then you get to reload your spool at some point with fresh braid, plus you'd be doing well to cast 150m. As for the Rub leader, I tend to go about 600mm

I guess there aint much point in spooling a lot of braid due to its price! You need to protect it I guess and back with as much mono as you can get away with....

Looking forward to getting out and giving it a bash, do you prefer jellies or plugs ?

Im just learning, spinners and rubber redgill eels so far taking fish. Hoping to get out during the week and add a few other fish, have a small collection of plugs aswell now but waiting for some settled weather to get the out.... hoping on a trip away for the day at the weekend to bash the plugs a bit!

I guess all the soft plastics and hard plastic take fish int he right circumstances judging by the catch reports!

It depends how big your spool is and what diameter braid, I tend to fill mine with no backing. Expensive yes but reverse after a while and it will be as new.
