Well decided on another trip to the lincs coast so roy was the one offering a trip down as he wanted to break his duck by catching one of each species also stu (lofty) off mackys site from the holderness said he would meet up with us, so off we went left at 12.30am took slow drive down to get there for first light arrived at 3.30am was on the beach ready to fish for 4am tide just started to flood and conditions looked perfect just cleaned and oiled me reels so i said to roy im going to have a chuck with just a sinker first make sure the reel is running properly so chucked it out started reeling in and it felt heavey i said oh no seems like there is lots of weed about it was not to be pulled in someones trace that had snapped resulting in 2 nice sinkers 1 of them and impact lead and best of all someones fish lol a lovely sized flounder unhooked and returned.
Next cast all baited up resulted in a small thornie stu had just arrived when i beached it, nice meeting you stu had a bit natter with him then off he went to setup things were very slow after the first thornie with lots of weed being a problem any ways a few hours later more thornies arrived but no sign of any hounds i couldnt beleive it conditions looked spot on.
Anyways seen stu what seemed to be into a nice fish went over and by god he landed his first ever thornie of around 5lbish by was he pleased but he also wanted to break his duck by getting a hound as he had never caught one but things wernt looking good, it was then roys turn to get a nice thornie which put up one hell of a fight got it in and what a nice fish it was being round about 5lb maybes a bit more anyways high tide had been and it started to ebb then stu was into another good fish which he thought it was another thornie but it was the one we had been waiting for and by was he chuffed never seen anyone so happy a nice hound which weighed in at exactly 5lb not a big one but stu's first and very welcome indeed anyways another hour or so went by with just more thornies turning up and then me and roy were goosed and had enough no hounds today for me or roy only seen the 1 caught not sure if stu got any thing else as we said goodbye and he fished on til low water nice meeting you stu and hope to have another sesh together soon the banter was great as always.
