You're the only other person I've seen fishing with a Century Saturn, I thought I was the only one who had one until I read your last post.
Well done on the fish mate.

It was a nice place but very heavy ground, am just getting used to fishing the heavy and am getting better lol, most chucks I was losing hooks or lead(weaklink), was a good day out :)

I'd never herd of the Saturn untill I seen it for sale, and tell ya it's the best rod I've used, I love it, it's so strong across the hole rod but somehow the tip has great bite detection bargain at £70 with a slosh20 sha included!

Over the years I have tried different methods up north in the kelp and the rocky ground, I now fish I hook pulley rig, big bait, rotten bottom link with a plain 6oz sinker, I normally get at least the rig back in one piece.

That's what I use bud, I vary my bait sizes every chuck like, am getting there lol, it's different fishing altogether when your used to clean beach....them codlings feel alot bigger when your bullying them through the kelp like lol

I have nearly given fishing from the up now, I love the rock marks up and there are some nice deep ones too. You lose gear but what you catch makes up for it. :). It's hard going but worth it. The same mark I can lose gear every cast then the next time nothing. Great catch again, and did you get a bit burnt like me, the weather yesterday was cracking :)
