Another North East Death

Just seen this after posting my new thread - I'm sure this is going to get around fast as Barry was well known to almost all the club lads, and others, across the NE sea-angling scene. A very sad loss.

Cheers, Gary :(

my brother and i are on cullercoats rnli and well they got paged at 2:30am and he never returend till 4:30 so i think they did as much as possible at the time but the sea will nearly always win:(

Wise words Curtis but, as often, very sad ones. Being on the Cullercoats or any rescue boat has a lots of ups and downs. My old man used to say, every time the rocket went off and the lifeboat was launched, that it was like being dealt a 5 in pontoon....you'll probably lose but you might get away with a draw. The win doesn't exist because you can only put people back where they were before the problem, hence the draw. Today is a very sad day both in the North East and in your house.
You take care.

David
