Another rebuild

After a bad reaction with the paint and high build I've stripped it back to the carbon and re varnished it looks nice time to start over

i'd imagine that to be very timely , would nitromors eat into the carbon ???

Apollo mk2's also have a very thin foil type covering under the blue which gives the rod that wavey look under the finish only way I've ever got it off was as ian said Stanley blade which I keep straight up and down and scrape the finish off i also warm up the finish with heat gun just makes it that bit easier to scrape off it does take a while and is extremely messy then finish with wet and dry I'd also advise rubber gloves and dust mask as the carbon gets everywhere.

Marco my advice unless the rod holds great sentimental value as it was given to you by your long lost great uncle charlie who used it to catch a world record fish i'd use as is as long as rings arent cracked or missing as a full strip back to carbon then rebuilt would cost way way more than it will ever be worth as you can pick mint ones up for £60-£80.

I was wanting to have one that is different from all the others , I want it like a conoflex with no/very little high build and just the criss cross weave of the carbon . not too sure if the apollos carbon is like this though , from what I remember its just flat black :question:
