after the knowledge of all you boffins, after an anti virus software package that will protect my pc and my wifes notebook which is connected to the net via my pc wirelessly. So i will need a dual/multi license package. I have already got Mcafee security centre on my pc, which is up for renewal soon, and my missus has a 30 trial with Norton. Was considering getting McAfee internet security suite but there seems to have been a lot of user problems with it. Anybody got it installed or anybody got any other ideas.

I use AVG free version ,I used to run Zone Alarm suite but my router has a great firewall built in so I only need anti virus now.

All McAfee for me Alan...Anti-virus, firewall, privacy, anti-spammer....
Never had any problems...(all free with aol too!)

Just thought, never say never...oh no, what have I done?????

I just keep buying new computers!

Alternative method to keep viruses off your computer is to keep sneaky little msn using, P2P junky, click owt that says "Click here" fiends etc. away from your CPU

I.e. Don't let the bairns on, buy them a couple of computers each and change them regularly. Like socks. (Change the computers not the kids of course ... although .......????)

I use AVG and XP firewall, never have any problems,as long as you use a decent spyware program or programs.
Agree with Ian's advice above. All common sense to be honest ;)

where can i get that from Davy, free of course. Found it cheers Davy, plenty of freebies out there, maybe we should set up a dat base for all the different items, spyware, virus etc, should save us quite a few bob
