any fish keepers help

im looking after our kids pond when i left for work the pond was full got home it was nearly empty it has a blaqck thing in a big black box think its the pump theres water ****ing out the top anyone got any ideas ive switched it off and im filling the pond back up with a hose at the moment

it will be the filtration unit, where abouts are you ??, if your local to wallsend pm me and i will take a look, used to have a 3000 gallon koi pond till last year

it sounds like your pond filter is blocked it should have a outlet into the pond where the water drains back in and sometimes these can be blocked with leaves etc. You should have a pipe going to the filter and a return one i recon the return one is blocked or come out of the pond I hope this helps

I'll bet my bottom dollar there's an obstruction in the pipe - probably Ayecanthus Scoliosis or something very different :yltype:
