Any news on how Hartlepool has been fishing?

thats why i said before i dont fish that mark now unless it is summer / i wear flotation suit etc when on the piers in winter to keep warm / midd / roker etc but not worth the risk even then getting washed in from there / same as north gare i wont go near that in winter

i would rather blank and go home

Hartlepool has been fishing great since the end of November. But if you want to catch Cod you need to fish it over the hard ground. If you want a whitie session hit the piers. Won't be many cod caught by kerb side anglers fishing the proms. This one was 5lbs ;-)

Anywhere between Parton beach and the Heugh pier. High or low water when its rough. If its calm there are usually too many crabs about unless its very cold.
Best to go down in the daylight on at least a 0.6 tide to pick out a few spots to fish in the dark.
If fishing low water BE VERY CAREFUL not to get cut off by the flood, it can change in minutes believe me.
You have a chance of Cod, Flounder, Coalies and the occasional Bass and very rarely get many Whiting.
Its not a mark to see your rod tip rattling every 5 minutes but if you do catch its usually something worth keeping.
