Plenty of Flatties being caught(of the Roundhead is the best place for PLAICE LOL) if your prepared to fish for them with Plaice the main species being caught some nice ones have showed early this year with some upto 2 and a half pounds. the bulk of them are around a pound along with flounders and dabs with some very nice Dabs also showing(well nice bigger than the ones on morrisons fish mongers slab LOL). There is also launce and coleys being caught on feathers and spinners also i have just been down on whitburn steel and by the look of the sea there could be a bomus Mackeral for those prepared to spin as the waters crystal clear and the seas perfect for them but agin the tide may be the problem, you get the mackeral in bulk of Roker on the small tides but on the big tides a lot of lads have been getting the flatties on the ebb(Any worm bait is perfect for flatty bashing of roker). Hope you catch something mate.
