Anybody fished eyemouth area????

Was thinking of going up on sunday with afew friends (one lad is a total newbie) but never fished here before.just wondering if any members have? Any info on good marks to try or any to stay away from would be appreciated. Never fished rock marks either.

thinking exactly the same m8 been once blanked but i think the seals didnt there was quite a few up there going to try spinning off the rocks been told i have a chance of pollack and bass and cod and wrasse hopefully anything but a blank

all right rottenbottom am up there neself on sunday three of us going up fished up there quite reg last year had somme cracking sessions up there as well info on marks like the lads say check out viking valhala site very good info on there about eyemouth and st abbs
forcast for eastly winds on sun so could be bit of swell on so xtra care is needed we have fished hairyness big rock outcrop behind caravan park last year but again if any swell be careful mate need tide to be half out to access the end and bit of a climb as well

Drove back from Scotland a few weeks ago & decided to come back down the Coastal route called into st abbs & Eyemouth the water at st abbs was crystal clear & looks like some good spots the fish bit rocky but google it & you should find some decent marks

Yes m8 i have fished Eyemouth quite a few times and had some good results from there as i fish North port area just be hind the caravans thereand you would be fishing from rocky areas and pretty good there for bass pollack and ive even had a good plaice there too and the odd coalies so there you are and i am going up there during August for a week as i go to the caravan there fora bit of a break and i will be calling at St Abbs too and other areas around the coast so there you are and good luck to you m8.

hi mate put viking valhalla in your google bar,that will give you some ideas,if your planning on fishing eyemouth a few times get in contact with stores (david storey) on this site,he has written a book called the codling crouch,it will tell you everything you want to know,best 10.99 ive ever spent,and he is a top bloke

might be better going over the west something like Whitehaven west pier fish it 3 hours up to top water then fish to the left hand side on the rocks just with it being easterly at weekend and you,s not having a lot of experience
we fished brighouse bay Sunday gone and that's a canny shot we had dogs and the Pollock are showing now, Davy (blanked again)had the biggest Pollock about the 3 LB mark

Like chris said purchase the codling crouch excellent read and has some cracking marks, if your after the bigger fish try the golfcourse side of eyemouth.

Heading up there sunday with chris elliott and pop65 off here hopefully this warm spell where having at the min and next few days the pollock etc will be in.

Just down from the back of the caravan site mate there's like a slab, easy fishing with deep water and not very snaggy. 20 or 30 yard lob is best to be where the fish are. Large wrasse there in abundance also good kelpies. Best bait is crab. Don't take yer eyes off yer rod as if you hook into a big wrasse and don't hoist it out quickly yer doooomed.

Thats right G.ordon m8 no need to cast far there as there is plenty of deep water there and yes you have to watch your rod at all times and like you say you were down from the back of the caravans on the rocks and there is a stretch of beach there where i have had a couple of good bass there but plenty of wrasse and coalies too

I think if you haven't fished rocks before then where Gordon says is your best bet. Lynn and I have fished there. Just an easy scramble down and a lovely big flat rock very comfortable. We managed a cod there too, when I say we, of course I mean Lynn did !!

Also a couple of miles along from caravan park is Coldingham. A great beach there. Looks good for bass although we onoly managed some good sized flounders.

Fished up there on the golf course side on the 15th Managed a couple of Cod and a couple of coalie between a few of us. All the fish taken on Crab or Cart.

There is a patch across the golf course which is fairly easy to spot, you can park next to the gate, a short walk to the right and there are a handfull of marks, anywhere you can get to the water should produce fish by spinner or bait if you are lucky.

It's not even that bad in the holiday season too, sure, a few get down bashin but I've never had a problem with them.

Well G.ordon m8 when i go in August its pretty quiet there where i fish and plenty of marks to fish from so i will be looking forward to it when the time comes but i will let you know when i am going on the day and nice pic too m8.
