if yes what are they like and what other rods around the price range are better if any

I use one pretty much all the time, and think its a cracking rod. They cast great and will handle pretty much anything you're likely to hook. Not ultra stiff so guess it depends on what ground you,ll be fishing into and what you want from a rod??

They're mint! Great Bite detection and powerful..

However, be warned you need a good casting style to get the best out of it.

Some of my mates have the normal AFAW Match and think its top notch.

Sounds like a decent choice then, might be worth trying one first if you,re not sure

better off just getting a cheaper rod if your a beginner
