cheers david, i had a little check on the river levels further upstream, they are low but you're right the past few days have probably diluted it with lots of fresh water. the river over this winter/spring has been rubbish for me, next to no whiteys too which is wierd because the year before i was pulling loads of them around the pound mark and huge flatties nearly every trip.... hope it picks up a bit soon. no doubt the crabs will be out in force soon!. i'll put a report up if i decide to give it a crack
If you mean St. Peter's next to the glass centre I've been down a few times over the last month or so. I caught a big eel last week and the few times before that just small coleys flatties and a couple of little codling. The water was really bad last week mind. Loads of branches coming down stream and it was like chocolate.
