Anyone fished Ullapool area?

Hi fellas, just wondered if anyone has fished the Ullapool area in recent years. I'm off up there shortly and have very found memories of fishing the pier, the rock marks off the nearby lighthouse and a lovely place just up the road called Ardmar Bay. I was a regular visitor up there during the late 70's and early 80s and used to bag up with cod during the winter and pollack, doggies and thornback during the summer. Never been there since. Anyone help?

off up that way myself sort of at the end of the month, been offered a place on Barra for a week and would be rude to turn it down!, private loch full of brownies to attack and some good shore marks so I'm told

Dunno about ullapool though, but can sort some chart pictures out for you, give you an idea of the water/features/depth

usually then have a look at Geograph British Isles - photograph every grid square!
to see if anyone has taken any pics of any fishy looking areas on the charts

Thanks for all of the excellent advise fellas, appreciate it. I wouldnt mind having a look at the sea bed in and around Ardmair Bay if thats possible.
Cheers

from past experience of the north west I'd say the rubha cadail point looks a lively spot, and the shore from there westwards to the bay - very pollocky and wrassey!

I'll do do dump of the S57 chart with the 3d and tidal streams on as well

I've also never fished U'Pool since the 70's but the thing that sticks in my memory is the 'Midgies' I swear they're as big as starlings and there's MILLIONS of 'em (seems like that, anyway)
