Nah we've seen him out loads of times, Bert was talking to the owner at the weekend. He's just bought an Offshore 105.

Seem to remember he landed a very nice ling one day last year when we were alongside.

It's always been moored opposite the Fish Quay at the next set of moorings, down towards the piers from Shady and the Boys. just after the marine safety training centre. a lovely boat.

Went down to Liverpool to view a Arvor 18 for sale 2 weeks ago, £14k with 500hrs on the engine in good conditon with all the toys, seen it on boats and outboards but when i arrived 2 other people had been invited at the same time (start a bidding war) i lost and never seen anything else since then.

To be honest its prob going to be next season now, working 12hr overtime shifts at the moment so the money is building up now, soon have the car paid for and be able to focus more on the boat and house.

Not really in any major rush really, got loads of trips books already this year from Tyne, Craster, Hartlepool and West coast as well as going out a few time on mates boats.

Arvor 18, Arvor 19 and Quicksilver 540 are the boats i have narrowed it down to.

Aye best of waiting till the winter now Richie, the prices seem to go up at this time of year.

Biggest problem i have found is that you need to travel miles to view a boat as in the 3 months i have been looking, nothing fitting my bill has popped up in the north east. Spent about £30 in fuel to view the one in liverpool but it was nice to get out and do a sea trial on the Arvor 18 even if i lost the bidding.

This time next year i will have the cash to buy a boat outright, been onto Dave.M about going halfers this year but he is still not settled yet with work etc.

I am ment to be out Friday from Craster but bit unsure witht he NE winds.
