Arbroath help?

I'm looking to fish Arbroath with a few freinds in the July month son I'm looking to do my homework early and prepair with a bit help I'm looking at what bait would be the best option to take. What rigs would I be better of using ie rotten bottoms and any novice marks I could be intrested in not one for taking risks cheers

hi mate, i have fished the cliffs/rocks to the north of Arbroath and they aren't too risky access wise but i wouldn't go there if there's a sea running cos the water is deep and washes up the rocks. I didn't fish there in summer but can imagine you would get same species as at home. Don't fish the cages if the sea is huge, Harra and Steve Taarland got washed out of them over the winter! If you have a look on wsf go on the Scottish section you will get more info there. Or try Mark and Paul from the Cleadon club as they have fished north of Arbroath too.
