Arbroath (part 2)

Well what a difference a few days make and a bit of movement in the water.
Saw a break in the wild weather up here today,so decided on my second visit over to Arbroath from my digs in Perth. picked up my bait at Dundee on route which included frozen peeler, runny down, mussel, fresh maki and razor.
Got over to the coast around 11am and could see good movement, plenty of colour.and an incoming tide. Decided to give it a go at a mark between Arbroath and Montrose which Kingfisher put me onto(thanks mate)
Started off on the rock edges and first chuck was into a fish which took my runny down/maki bait, great I thought, only to loose the lot on the retrieve amongst the rocks.
Second chuck,again produced a fish,this time being landed,and weighing about 3lb.
It was then that I noticed the water running into gullies behind my position, so not believing in taking risks, moved to a ledge on the cliffs approximate 500m south of my position which had a lift out of the water of around, 20m.....well what can I say, other than, I think I had a fish nearly every chuck. They were feeding on anything.
From 11am until 7pm I had 15cod out. As it got dark, the better stamp of fish showed up.
I landed a 4lbr and 5 lbr on consecutive casts, but the star attraction waited until the last cast to show itself, a cracking
12lbr falling to crab/mussel,the fish nearly pulled the rod from the stand and was trying to dive to the bottom all the
way in, on the lift,I was crapping myself incase it came off and how pleased was I that I had taken the Wr300 over to
use.
Cracking days fishing and one to remember, but can I say that I only packed in because,I ran out of sinkers, and I had taken twenty!!! Have sent Mick Dunn some photos so he might be able to put on site as I forgot my phone leads.
Can I just add that ALL fish were returned to fight and make someone else smile another day

Aye kingfisher, plenty for all. Spoke to few locals whilst walking off. They had fish and were underarm casting into gullies, saves on the lost leads!!!!!!
