The Cleadon club are having an away trip to Arbroath next saturday, just wondering if anybody has any pointers on where to go cos ive never fished the area before. Cheers.
Thommaz you'll be pleased to hear that the chicken is not only caught at The Rathouse and Roker but also comes in the Scottish variety! Have you got loads of 2 hook flappers made up?
ousan is a good mark as long there is some sea on park at the fish huts this mark is faily heavy ground you dont need to cast long and the best bait seems to be crab cocktail.Directions head out of arbroath north on the coast road eor about 8-10 miles you will see a right signposted ousan follow that road untill you come to the fish huts at the farm (dont block any gates) over the fence onto the cliff tops i fish on the right where there is a lot of gullies and bays the walk is ok and you can get right down to the warers edge you do not need waders but good walking boots will help you also need strong equipment this is a must
Jaimie, Auchmithie beach about 3 miles north of Arbroath throws some good cod out . It looks a bit rough but the middle of the bay is ok plus you can drive right down to the shot . First time i fished it i could hardly stand up, but it wasn't with the wind.
Beware the Glayvar. tight lines.
Thanks for the info lads, Paulstewart: as Brashy said we're meeting at the prom then just go wherever you want i think, some of the marks on the link look the dogs dangiles, long range forecast looks like northwesterlies, any good up there?
NW wind wont cause to much of a swell around arbroath.
could try around usan or auchmithie. plenty of marks to try around the area, any could throw up good cod. plenty doubles came from auchmithie beach in daylight
