Are we alone?

Just back from Hendon prom. Bloody awful wind. 6 oz of lead and it almost comes back in your face.
1 small whitey caught along the whole prom. Maybe a dozen people with rods out.
Now, you know when you look at your rod tip from a low seat. Well the view behind it is upwards into the black sky.
Saw an orange dim light going past from north to south zig zagging in the sky but not a set sequence of zig zags. Jerky to the side then back again later with apparently no logic. The light was dim but clear and it was elongated.
I couldn't put a size to it, height of it or anything else really except to say it wasn't the path of an aeroplane. They don't jerk about on their flight path.

Around 15 minutes late a couple more lights, same colour but smaller and not elongated went the opposite direction.

I know there used to be lasers pricking the sky over Sunderland once. Maybe they still do, but these weren't lasers.

Anyone else see anything odd, except for a fish?

Think you looking for some thing that's not there mate the wind direction will be different at different altitudes it swirls and often goes in the opposite way

Nah, just telling what I saw. and the logicality of it.
What people make of it is down to them.

Probably not alone like space is to vast to travel through carnt see us being the only inhabitants of space therell be somthing oot there garenteed

I tend to see these lights when on the brown ale.:D
but I have seen very bright lights before in the sky when fishing late at night and they are not planes.
they move very slow at first then move of fast

Sussed it.

Sussed it.

At Hendon again last night. Clear sky and really good conditions.
Got there too late though. A number of good bites but didn't hit one.
Anyway I sussed the UFO.

I saw much the same last night. Orange objects floating by. Seagulls.
Yeah. Seagulls with the orange lights of the docks reflecting back off them.
The one going south would naturally have had to doge about to remain in the sky in the high wind while the ones going north would be free to fly straight.

Nothing like knowing the truth is there.

By the way while I was setting up my 2nd rod in the upper lever car park a white van drove along from the end of the lower deck and ran my 1st rod over.
The guy was called Dominick.
I gave him my mobile number to text his details which he did while I watched. Unfortunately I had the last 3 digits the wrong way round so I never got the text.
I just want to reassure him that no damage was done. I think the wheel just knocked the rod out of the way onto the walkway.
So Dominick, fret not. You're in the clear.
