Well after fishing Cambois pier boxing day night and blanking myself and Mick (Casper71) decided to head to Lynemouth last night esp after hearing a few fish turning up of late and was pleasantly surprised to see a nice fishy looking sea rolling in
. We tried off the base of the pipe first for an hour nowt doing so headed onto Lyneburn beach to the crosswaters mark to fish the tide upto high water at 11.30pm.
After about half an hour started to get a few knocks and as it happened I said it would be lovely if both of us could get a codling each and within 15mins or so both rods went and in came two mine 1.5lb micks 2.25lb then all went quiet so at 10.30pm went on the long walk to the south beach to the right of the pipe.
There were a few lads fishing next to the pipe they had a couple of codling in so looked promising headed abit further along beach then about 1am Mick got a fish of 2.75lb then me one of 2lb thought 2 each great that'll do
Mick's rod went again with a 2.75lber the all went quiet.
After about an hour at 3am my rod went and struck but missed it so freshened up bait and out it went 5mins later cant remember what I was doin but Mick shouted "YA ROD" and I looked over to see what we all love the nod, nod then lunge and stay there picked it up and steadily pulled the fish in to Mick in the water by now result a lovely 6lb 7oz cod and me new rod, reel, digital scales well and truly christened!!
Called it a night after that at last some thing better and my count at 48 cod so I'll be out tues & wed chasing the last two lol.
