Away day ideas ?

I was going to Borth beach a week this Friday but have been told its very hyped up ? therefore I am looking for a venue within about 200 miles of Rotherham for at least a 24hr session,,,any ideas ?...bear in mind I consider Shields pier fairly local !!!......thanks...Andy..

depends what ya looking for andy theres lots of flattie places up here in northumberland ie alnmouth creswell etc bass beaches as above and the rock edges of amble creswell and newbiggin cambois etc has been producing some cod to 5 1b in daylight hours,,,heard theres been fresh run but i must admit every one ive seen is a summer cod ie red

if i didnt live here i would fish this area 2hrs before and two hours after low ,,on the rock edges then move to a pier etc for the rest of the day

if ya not shure of the marks dont let this put you off just look for deeper kelpy water within casting range
