There were 16 members fishing today on Tynemouth Pier in bright sunshine with the water crstal clear. 9 managed to weigh in. Among these there was a specimen Common Sole weighing 1 lb 6 ozs caught by Alan Armstrong and there were also 7 Weever fish caught, so be careful if fishing in the river.

1st Wilf Reed 2 plaice, 2 mackerel 4 lb 5 ozs
2nd Ken Robinson 1 codling, 1 plaice, 1 coaly 4 lb
3rd Dave Hayley 1 plaice, 2 mackerel 3 lb 2 ozs

H/F Ken Robinson plaice 2 lb 2 ozs

Congrats to Alan on the sole, always good to see something a bit less common being caught & a nice plaice for Kenny as well. Not forgetting congrats to Wilf on his victory!
