Well me and Big Tel fished a couple of wrecks on the 6 mile mark :), with wind against tide the drift was good :), but after a couple of hours without a take :( we decided to drown some worms closer in. Uptiding rods out, downtiding rods out, NOWT :(..:( Still plenty time, and a great day to be afloat. :D:D

Sheared the chain stripper on the windlass but an easy fix...

unlucky mate water looked purfect when i looked this morning atleast you got a nice run out though maybe the big tides where to blame for the lack of fish

Just nice to be out, i think we all had a hard day but as Norman said in his post..the hard days make the good days even better....until next weekend :)

Like you've been saying Richy its a few weeks yet before it kicks off properly, hopefully getting rid of the gremlins before then..:)

Hi chris i was out yesterday for a couple of hours just over hendon way and blanked aswell, drift was to much for wrecks(i am glad i saved on fuel)coz nothing is happening just yet but glad to take the boat for a run out ,i would of been happy with a snag, just for somthing to pull on my line.Few weeks yet m8.

Did you get out early Chris. I hung back a bit waiting for the tide to ease, but if it's low tide on the shore at 9am it's about 1-1/2hrs later at sea, so the flood seemed a long time comming. Was your anchore stuck to shear the pin. Your having a few niggles with the boat, hopefully that will be the last.:(

Hi Martin, i was off Hendon today at about 2.00, before that was 6 mile off Sunderland, you must have come up a good way today :o.

Yes Ian, few weeks yet, next boat to me had a skip full of cod out his nets, still stuffed with sandeel..:(

Arthur I came out at about 10.30 as we got talking in the tackle shop about Norway, but the tide was spot on for drifting the wrecks at that time, just no fish.
The rope caught on the chain stripper and doubled back round the chain ring, causing the guide to snap off, its the reeve on the rope where it connects to the chain, that caused the problem, shouldnt be much to fix if i can get the part..:)

Baccaruda, Arthur, its named after the Plymouth Barruacuda car advert, if you look on Youtube, there is a clip of the advert.......I dont like the name, but dont want to anger the sea gods by changing it...:D:o

ive got the same problem chris mines called "hey up" my old man says it should be called hoy up cause he manages to do exactly that every time hes out on a boat :D but cant be upsetting them sea gods so i suppose ill just have to live with it!

:Dcant beleieve two grown lads wary of a sea god:exclam: take him on:exclam: change the name, show him whos boss:exclam::exclam: spend the rest of your fishing days blanking or sinking:D:D:D:D:D

I bought the new stickers ready to name the boat Jester again, then shortly after the water pump broke , yesterday the widlass broke  and i have'nt caught a fish for ages .

All that is just from buying the stickers and thinking about re-naming.....:o

This subject has been discussed many times, and i've always laughed it off as superstitious nonsense, until it happens, then you start thinking...HMMMM could be something in this......best leave alone.......so Baccaruda it is....

Must dash, i've got some name stickers to burn...:D:D:D:exclam:
