Decided to have a few hours on a friends boat with the intention of dropping anchor at Whitburn or hendon but the weather was fantastic yesterday so decided to have a look at a few inshore wrecks.
The 1st 2 wrecks showed little interest but we plodded on to some wrecks at 4 mile and would you know it 1st drop and were both into fish. I managed myself a pollock around the 5-6lb bracket. And my mate lost one over 10lb. The next drift was a blank so we went over again this time were both in again. But I was the only one to boat a fish this time was a codling at about 4.5-5lb. I also plucked a nice whiting from one of the ground marks a little closer inshore on ragworm
Called it a day just as darkness was setting in. Was a cracking couple of hours afloat which rewarded us a few fish. Happy faces all around.
