Hello,

My name is Mick Dunn and i live in Consett. I am originally from Hartlepool and when i was a lad i used to fish regular. I am now 46 and am just getting back to the sport. I still like the Heugh at Hartlepool and have tried other local piers such as Steetly and the Red Light.
A couple of weeks ago guy pulled up an 11 pounder from the heugh.Last night there was a competition and i saw a lad pull a five pounder out.
Tried Sunderland today and we got ordered of the Roker pier due to the sea. I went on the Rat pier and some nice whities were caught. Looking forward to some boat fishing when the weather picks up so i will keep my eye on this site.

Hello Ian,

It was just a coincidence mate.

Came across the forum by accident and decided to join.

Some good stuff. Thought the bit on how to fillet the fish was excellent.
