Have you thought about the Cono-flex Eliminator, i know they are not new but were good.

Always been interested in this seriously,but was of the opinion that on our marks how you would or could do a back cast! Now I saw top backcasters 15 years ago but on Norfolk beachs and you need, 15 m space to not get hit never mind a crack off. Fish a match here, where you going to go to cast.
Honest Question ? will not work here in general. Match or Pleasure.
As for rods, look for some thing 14 feet long min and stiff in tip.

Been having think about backcast rod,been through it myself as wanted to have a go at it few years ago.But realised in company of other anglers on our coast was not very good idea.
As for a rod both my frontline rock rods backcast,Raptor, PZ T, sorry but they dont make em now so that s not much help.If your realistic about this you may have to pay out plenty for so called top rod,on market what I know of the
Zziplex XTR and Centurys CME could both be good options and as they cast any style you would not end up with wasted rod catching dust in roomcorner.

hi m8, iwas always told min length for backcasting rod 14ft 2ins stiff butt conoflex have a new one on there web site someone i knew a few years ago used to swear by the century firblade backcaster personaly i would go for a zziplex backcaster but thats just me ,not a backcaster myself pendulem but have known quite a few backcasters if you like century give them a ring at least its local
