Bad day at black rock.

Fished Lynemouth today with Gary Blanchard got to north beach for about 12 mid day.
Sea conditions couldn't be better with a nice 1mt swell with a north bump rolling up the beach.
A bit bright in the sunny condition's but loads of color in the sea so expectations very high.
Set up with my new Zeteque rod so walked down for a bait free hoy to check this new rod oot....very pleased and walking back to the motor tripped over a boulder and went arse over tit as I was falling all I could think was save the rod n reel from damage,and I did but took a nasty knock to my leg and right arm,
My leg was swollen badly and could hardly walk but I kept fishing......as you do.lol.
Anyway I blanked and Gary got a cod 4lb,someone watching said They thought I was over casting the cod...hehehe.

im sure it was gary who fell over on horden beach one year reeling in a nice 5lb codling , it got away and probably would of won the comp. heineken open i think it was . unsure . i could be wrang mind

A canny fish sure your aches n pains will only last a day or two I would have done the same save the rod m reel
