by all accounts july ain't the best month for trout, has anyone else heard this?

Best to fish very early mornings or late evenings for trout in the summer months , stockie rainbows hate the hot weather , it can be very hard work catching them through the middle of the day at this time of year.

Yup, July and August Do they not spawn around this time as well or is that a load of rubbish ?

I had a chance to work night at Consett last week but my mate volunteered. He was up the reservoir 4 in the morning watching the fish rising.
Looks like when we get there they all go to sleep in deep water.

anyone fished behind the golf course at eyemouth?going on saturday,anyone know any good spots and if theres any mackey or pollock kicking about,ive heard that you catch sweet william up there?????do you float fish macky fillets???cheers lads
