Badge - revisited?

One of the members raised this question not long ago about a NESA badge....

There is indeed an old one...but what about updating it?

Obviously these things cost money, and require minimum orders etc but I reckon there'd be sufficient interest from members on here to justify having a new badge...

Now that the holiday season is (more or less) over and everyone (Mod's Admin etc) is back - how about revisiting the discussion and seeing where it goes?

Great idea Tony,

Just had look through the associated threads at the bottom of the page, a previous member suggested this as the new badge

:D :D :D

Aye lol, they tend to come & go every now & then :D

Getting back to the badge, I think Steve said he has a relation that does graphics.

I not sure how the existing badges came about (before my time) but by creating a new one would we not be leaving Billys & Titan with a load of badges they've got no chance of selling?

I suppose we'd have to find out how much they hold in stock....maybe part of the cost would have to accommodate the "buying" of any old stock...

If Billys or Titan hold hundreds then it's not going to be worth it...but if it's not too many then it may work out OK

Saying that, given the age of the badge - surely a company such as Titan would be able to write off old stock?...even Billy must class the badges in a similar vein? I could be wrong.....

Nice one Tony.

I've got more stock than Billys - 2 lol

Titan still have them advertised on their website so I'm guessing they must have a few left. I ordered a battery harness last year and it came with a badge already stitched on, they must be trying to get rid of them.

I guess we also need input from Admin as to the "corporate banner"

IE: is the NESA logo, above left, the sites official label in its font, design etc?

What info/acknowledgements should be incorporated?

Well...got a response from Titan about numbers of the Badge held in stock..

They are currently holding 300...

...still a goer with a new badge/sticker you reckon?...I guess that's a call for Admin'

Cheers

Tony ;) :)

Well if you go ahead with tackle box stickers that should still leave Titan the opportunity to sell their remaining stock of "sew on badges", but as you say it's probably a decision for Elton or whoever was involved in the badge arrangements.
