Bait collection help

Looking for someone to show me the ropes on how to dig my own bait. I know it's a long shot but I am willing to drive and pay for petrol if anyone is willing to take me under there wing. Cheers

you can dig lug worm at boulmer, sure some one will show how to go on when you get there , make sure you stay on right side of line of boulders down beach, there is also the middens at north shields, used to be able to get rag and lug there , seaburn at the back of latimers is about the best local shot lugworm , sand point between rathouse and glass centre in the wear hard digging for rag but lots of free mussel there , have also been told rag worm from river blyth and also plenty of free mussel and for the best quality yellow tails and blacks round here is hauxley area

I usually go to redcar for my lug and plenty places in hpool for rag
