bait presentation

here\'s how I present my bait......
I use a 4/0 main hook with a 2/0 on a pennell pulley rig
2 x peeler crab sniped on top hook & wrap around with microfine elastic.

Quite often I add a couple of yellowtails up the side for that extra bit scent.

To me its all about the sent as this is what the cod mainly home in on i think the elastic cutting in to the bait isnt a bad thing if it releses more cent a cod swiming a few meters away is gana smell it b4 it see\"s it.Just my own opion.I usaly use 3 good size lug and a half a crab wiped on to the hook shank and then pull the lug down in to a tight little bait so the lug juices run in down on the crab OOOOOOOO sounds good enough to eat (thats if i were a big cod that is)

Wish I could afford to use 2 crabs in a bait! Nice picture. Do you use elastic with runnydown? Never know whether I should or not. Stops it slumping down on the hook but still don\'t catch anything. Next week\'s the week. Got a week off and SWMBO is away for the week so out all week!
