Bass/flattie/float reel

Im looking for a new fixed spool reel for the summer to go on my penn powerstix bass rod.

I got a penn fierce 6000 in the summer and it's a really good reel but a bit big and heavy, so I'm looking for something around the 50/5000 size.

I've been looking at the Abu cardinal 176 and the Shakespeare agility 50. Looking to spend about £50 max. Does anyone else use the Abu cardinal or Shakespeare agility?

They are good reels mate,i used to use one for Salmon.

Got both Abu Cardinal & Shimano fixed spool reels!!
use them on me carp/spinning/float fishing rods & both work ideal

Baitrunners have a switch on them that effectively put the reel into freespool without opening the bail arm. You just move the handle to re-engage the drag.
