Bass on shields big beach

Well done mate. Your showing us how to do it again. I fished SS pier on Friday after work and ended up with a small codling and a small Flounder but the whole time I wa:s looking at the big beach thinking I bet there are Bass out there, then you go and show us how its done. Methinks the big beach is going to get busier now

Well never been out for a while as god doesn't like working fishermen coz every weekend has been ****e .
So decided on the big beach , why I don't know , got there at 9 and fished till 2 , fishing two rods with 2 hook flappers,View attachment 7356

Great catch mate well done and it is your prerogative to post your catch, however as a result of some of the netters reading this forum lo and behold small craft seen shooting nets off the big beach this morning.
We seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, whilst its great to let others know what we caught it can have an adverse effect.
Wonder if the lads down there today had much luck. Wells done again though mate.

Hi , thanx for the replies and I never thought about netters budgie , its such a shame you can't let others have a crack at the fish without b*****d netters trying to make a buck , let's hope the bass didn't show for them today .
In future any bass will be photoed and kept to myself unless pm'ed .
It's the way of the world unfortunately , its hard enough catching the buggers without netters .

Great session mate, but is that Bass legal size ? as I was under the impression they had to be 40-45cm ! could be wrong like , as I never catch any anyways..

36cm is the legal minimum landing size mate.

Recommended Retention Size Limits (RRSLs) & DEFRA Minimum Landing Sizes (MLSs)

36 cm is the legal limit but Nsfa recommends 41 cm . Most club comps use the 41 cm. Minimum size.
