Bass season ?

I have a quick question. I know there are increasing numbers of Bass being caught from the NE coast and everyone is after one. I have never caught a Bass, my early fishing years where all spent around Whitehaven where there were very few Bass around.
Is there a season for Bass ? I have been fancying fishing the likes of SS big beach targeting Bass for a while now, it seems that not many people are fishing SS beach and I know there must be some Bass there at the right time of year. Is there a better time and a worse time of year ?
Thanks.

Not sure about our coast but the likes if silloth mawbray and dubmill etc start from.may until about late august. August being best month for a chance of a doubles it really big un. Bass can be found all around our coast throughout the year. But summer time is peak season. I have a load of marks for over west and a few from we Scotland drop me a ok if u want any info.

Blyth cambios druridge bay season carew are some of the known marks on our coast

I fish Hartlepool and have had a fair few bass I've found I catch a lot more in the summer on a running ledger not to far out after a few days of sunshine and when the sea is kicking up a bit the baits I use are good rag and they never fail when looking for bass no more than 40 yards out usualy behind the first decent wave I have a bit of luck hope this helps
