I just picked up a little snippet on radio Newcastle that there is a piece on Look North tonight about fishermen risking their lives fishing in bad weather etc. It could be aimed at commercials, but includes an interview with the RNLI. Might be worth watching incase the "king of the rocks" turns up!

it's about Shore Anglers on South Gare according to the BBC this morning

What narks me is the fuss they make of the numpties who climb up mountains, or the rich 'heros and heroins' who sail around the world in their toys. The authorities never mention the risk or indeed the cost they put upon others when they have to come to their rescue. Yes I know there are a few idiots in the angling world, who would go to daft risks to catch a fish, but most are sensible, well equipped people who enjoy their sport in comfort and safety. Right I'll climb down from my soap-box now and look forward to watching the program.

And its a good job we are having the best winter fishing in 50 years otherwise they all would have blanked.
