Right lads there might be some of the older members that will Remember the beach caster that was brought out that had no eyes the line went threw the rod i suppose they never took off anyone had one or seen any for sale? they might have been done by diawa ????

im not that old (37) but i can remember them, they were diawa interline i believe, still available as a boat rod Daiwa Saltist Advanced Interline Boat Rods

Daiwa interline beach and boat rods,remember seeing the original magazine articles and photos on the prototypes at the time in the 1980s l think.Some field casters got some good distances with them in testing,idea never really took off,certainly never saw any in use.Sure the boat rod versions were still being made till a few years ago.

a very good friend of mine uses them and has quite a few some modified, belongs sunderland

try googling cyclops fishing rod ,or rod with no rings that should get u all the info u want
