Welcome to NESA mate
My work mate was fishing at Lynemouth Beach a couple of days ago, plenty of small fish being caught but nothing worth keeping, there was still the odd Mackerel showing off the beach as well

if it were low water you could try peeping toms at blyth casting into the river its a bit snaggy but ok for the kids, just watch the rocks

cheers

have a shot on blyth beach down by the marina entrance its a easy shot, park in car park and go through the hole in the wall, you can fish either side of the pipe. i have had a bit of luck to the left of the pipe, if you look behind you there is a mast fish in front of it :)

cheers

Welcome to nesa j j , if you are fishing with two young ones you are probs best fishing the river. there are plenty of codlings, not a great size but fun, and its safe . it's a biggish tide for the river but if you just short lob, your baits you will pick fish up. tight lines. :)

still plenty Mackerel showing off Blyth Pier,my son had 7 plus loads of Colies and Whiting on spinners,he said there was very few fishing
