fished the beacons today from 2,30 untill 5.30 first cast a cod about 6 inches long and that was it ! nice northerly swell but no fish had a look at lyneburn but that looked to big, rollers bashing in . went along to blyh pier for a couple of hours and that was crap the sea was as flat as a flat thing . the wind seems to have gone northerly again will try cambois hole tomorrow . jamcod

At least you're out having a go mate - after my session on the Hall beach on Tuesday night - I'm itching to get back out there....just looked at BBC weather site, and its forcast quite strong northerlies up the top of Scotland, which usually results in us getting a natural 'backwash', ie; a good swell running, with no wind! Just the kind I like!
Here's hoping.

although conditions have been canny the catches have been poor

I know what you're saying Alan, but since Sept, lets just be thankful for small mercies!!! If we hadn't had these conditions, just think how bad it really could have been....:(
