Beadnell Haven / Comely Carr

2hrs before & after LW using frozen peeler and black lug runnidown. Heavy marks, lost loads of gear, but had knocks every cast. Sadly only landed one 2.5lb codling, but thoroughly enjoyed the session!

Apart from one thing:

I'm no eco-warrior right, but it really does boil my p1ss when I arrive at a mark and find litter left behind by a previous angler!

It was cling film crab wrappings yesterday - you know, the stuff that takes decades to biodegrade, kills marine / bird life and generally messes up our coastline until it finally decomposes!!

Howay man, stop being so pig-ignorant and spend 30 seconds of your time picking up and taking away the rubbish that you took down to the shore...

Totally agree m8 it just makes you sick seems most marks you visit has its fair share of crap lying around but on a positive well done on that nice cod

Pleased you got one out mate!

The litter problem is always an issue being debated! I cleaned up a ton of empty lure packets from St Abbs during a session in the summer! It really boils ya pi$$!!!

Cheers lads, realise it's an ignorant minority I'm whinging about!

Shame clubs don't have more resources to do something about it - patrol and fine or ban from competitions...

Anyway, the Codling tasted very canny battered with a few chunky Maris Piper chips!

Had the same thing on Rathouse on Sunday, I had a clear up just as you get on there and managed to fill two carrier bags full.Disgraceful and embarrassing when people walk past.

Yep total disgrace, makes me wonder how people enjoy standing there fishing surrounded by their own cr*p??! Total lack of grey matter I presume?

Well done on the fish big Billy! more than I managed!

Must admit I feel sickened when you turn up at a mark n some scroat has dumped his/her rubbush when it would have taken them seconds to puck up.
It kinda makes me not want to fish there for risk of anyone turning up and thinking it was me
