HI All,

3 of us fished the point at Beadnell Wednesday night from High Water down to Low Water 6.30 to about 12pm.

Baits used were: Fresh Peeler, Squid, Bluey, Macky

Had a couple of knocks first cast but connected nothing,

2nd Cast pulled in a lovely coloured Rockling then nothing till about 10.30 when a lone Coalie was brought ashore.

Lovely night at a nice mark but my god its snaggy, must of lost at least 8 weights and a few rigs between us.

Also took the spinning rod with various sidwinders and wedges etc but nothing happening !

lady hole

lady hole

i have done some diving around that area lady hole (bay) looks good its not as rough ground as the point but there is lts of clumps of weed there its about 6mts + up to 12mtrs deep at low water at high you could fish frome the shore there used to be a boat moored there the boat is in the deep water i hve seen two types of wrasse ther coalies and pipe fish when i have dived there it has been flat and clear so it is not right for cod but it looks a good cod spot when it is rough

iv always though sunny n flat was the best codition for summer kelpys. on that day the guy nxt to me had a little red codling too

I reckon it depends on what part u fish the point as iv had a fair few sessions up there were u either get a fish or you dont get your gear back other times ive lost nowt and conitions should be as stan says
