Fished the Tyne today with the lad he had the day off school so wanted to fish the Tyne, fished from an hour after low water around 11.00am till 4pm. Got my first fish on 2 minutes after first cast, flounder of 25cm and thought it's gonna be a good day, it wasn't it was slow.

After an hour and nothing else between us I said to the lad it's slow going, he said aye but at least you caught a fish I haven't had owt, to which his rod started going mental I said look at ya rod. He had a flounder of 38cm come out, 1-1 now then he pulled in another of 34cm a bit later.

2-1 to him next up was my turn another flounder 34cm again, this one was deep hooked so cut line above hook 2-2.

Then the lads rod was hammered and he pulled out a just sized coley 3-2 to him and it was home time. There was a ten minute period while we were there, that there was loads of jelly fish going by bit strange I thought for the Tyne, well a first for me anyway here's some pics.

All fish were taken on crab with rag and macky or rag and sandeel coming back untouched or stripped by crabs.
