well last night me and dave once again decided to head out just round hartlepool last night for his 4 and coldest session of the season so far we already decided to head to the middleton before we left the house so it turned 2000 and we finally decided to leave the house and head out we arrived just before 2030 and started fishing straight away we where greeted with a nice swell and fresh wind first cast resulted in a codling for myself for 1.5lb shortly after dave had a belting thump on the rod and what turned out to be another fish of the same size i had another 2 over high water that where undersized and returned safely as soon as the ebb started again before i knew it dave was into his second fish of 2lb after that it went quiet for a bit then all of a sudden my rod was pretty much out of its stand i managed to get the fish to the side of the pier and as dave started to lift it my hooklength had snapped another good fish lost this season by about 0100 i had the tiniest bite ever that resulted in another codling for around the 1.5lb mark we packed up by 0300 and called it a day all in all a really enjoyable session for both me and dave
sorry for not having no pics the camera got absolutly drenched

well done for geting out sham about the one that gotaway

looked massive over middleton mate. even bigger 2day i fished the pilot and was getting stripped off the doggers, nightmare. live yellows ragworm crab muscle and getting stripped after 10mins. 2 big for middleton today that is for sure.

Thanks for the info lads was thinking about coming down from Consett tomorrow. Weather not a problem as i have a 4x4 but schools off so i have to look after my young un till 1pm. Did,nt really want to miss high tide as i like to fish 2 hrs up and 2 down.
Only other option is to come down after 1 and leave late on to avoid traffic. means fishing tide down onto low water.
Mick.
