Berkley Trilene Big Game 18.3 lb

Just bought some Berkley Trilene Big Game 18.3 lb off Ebay for £3 plus post,very cheap IMO,nobody was bidding on it which i was surprised at.The seller ID is anglerscorner_co_uk
Delivered next day as well !
Anyone using this line ? Read a post a while back,think TC uses it !

Used the big game, XL and sensation Trilene. All good lines but I prefer the XL, knots nicely, casts lovely, very soft and limp and never seems to nest (unlike the red ice I used at the Tsunami comp, eh Jim )

Funny you should mention that Rob. It happened to me four trips off the belt all with me Red Ice also. Don\'t know why as it never happened before and hasn\'t happened since. Wasn\'t the same reel each time either. Just put it down to bad day at black rock lol.

It\'s the 30lb version I use Alan.
Excellent line and seems to be quite a bit stonger than the \"30lb\" quoted on the spool. Very smooth to cast and seems to cope well against abrasion.
Still got the same line on my reel that I put on about 18 months ago.....only nested once (couple of weeks ago)......but that was MY fault and was easily cleared.

In my view Trilene line is ace! Never had any problems with any of the breaking strains. I too have been sucessful on e-bay for this line - must be luck?

hi great line berkley agree with you all but best make i have had off berkly is the sensithin not sensation it breaks about 4lb more than stated done loads of tests,tc uses 30lb straight thro i thought everybody these days used thinner lines with leaders do you use straight thro line all the time tc nothing wrong with it in my opion.red ice some on mc kellows discussion board are saying how good red ice is henry gilbert used it on programm on shark fishingof the shore if its that good why do they sell it realy cheap would,nt touch it myself cheap and nasty john
