So Ecclestone goes on trial in Germany charged with bribing a banker. The banker has already been found guilty of accepting that bribe and was sentenced to 8 years in jail.

Ecclestone's trial is stopped and he gets off scot free, after paying £60 million pounds to the German court!!!!

If that is not also a bribe, I am a Granny fish!!!!

Irony is alive and well in this dilusional world. I am genuinely dumbfounded! :mad:
 
yeh.. sad day really, he's 82 and was looking at a 10 stretch..

4 ft 2 tall, cracking wig and the ladies love him...:D

£60 mill fine... spot on, cheque or cash m'lud..

justice at it's best..now where did i put my yacht..;)
 
I can't imagine what the guy who took the bribe is thinking tonight, sitting in his cell for years to come??!!

Started putting the lotto on again first time in years, did it online for 8 weeks said they would send me an email if I won.

Thought about time I checked my emails and had a look to see an email title "Your a lotto winner" said to our lass, "Well, I've done it, ive won the lotto" should of seen her face.
Turned out to be £25 - cryptic bollocks! made it sound like won

On topic...more to come from this surely, that cant just be that
 
Suppose it's just like an out of court settlement same as plenty of people do here, The 60 million hasn't gone to the court...It went to the prosecutors so it says on the net.

Nothing like an out of court settlement here mate. This was a criminal trial not a civil case. The money went to the Bavarian State, a total disgrace!

Ha, not sure why I am so annoyed as it has no impact on me, but it is blatantly wrong that you can buy your way out of a criminal charge with cash, especially in a bribery case, you just couldn't make it up!! :mad:
