best bait shields walkway

What is the best bait to buy this time or year to fish the walkway

Not targeting any particular fish just for abit sport

And does reelsport sell it?

Tried lug rag mackrel mussels yesterday with no luck

I would of thought rag and mackerel this time of year, but if you blanked on it yesterday maybe not. Try getting some bluey from Reelsport instead

Any bait could catch. It's just that time of year now, most fish have moved off to spawn so the sport goes a bit quiet.

Worm baits can be very successful this time of year, especially ragworm & lugworm. Just time to vary really, sure you'll get something out on whatever bait you use

Well I just got rag lug mackrel mussels and something else frozen ended up with three small fish and I now have the big so need some decent gear

I fished the walkway last weekend with my son with lug rag n mussel from reelsport. Had a fish nearly every chuck. All small stuff like but good sport
