Slight deviation like but codseekers thread made me ask this, what's yer favourite fish n chip shop that you can rely on having consistently good food?
For me Pauls chippie in hebburn is spot on, always a megger queue outside like but the fish n chips are always fresh and hot.:D

i agree pauls is nice i work in hebburn but you cant beat herrinton burn chippie great quality and always hangs over the plate

Agree with kingcod deano has to be the waterfront everytime im in shields. In blyth it has to be the beach chippy!!

That amble quayside chippy is canny an all, if yev got a spare hour to wait in the queue like:D

But that's the diff, a big throughput of customers ensures fresh fish n chips, small throughput and the stuffs lying in the display cabinet drying out.In other words it's worth the wait

Another vote for Verrils at the Pool,Used to go there in the early eighties and everytime I go to Hartlepool I visit. Was there not long ago and was far better than the overpriced offerings at Whitby.

hastings hill pub in sunderland not bad as well
the portions are bigger than the picture shows lol
