Just your opinion on these 3 lads, can anyone tell me which has the best flood beam out of these lights, i know they have a pretty good spot beam but its the flood beam i am really interested in for rock fishing and beach, i find most headlamp with a small lense = small flood beam and i dont want a tiga or samalite as i dont want to go back to the battery packs also i have 3 imported crees as back ups so i know what they are like too.

Cheers

Definately go for the LED Lenser H14 buddy. Seem a few of me good mates using them now and there absolutelt brilliant. Cannit wait to get one myself. :D

For the moment I still use my trusty LED Lenser H7, and thats excellent too, cannot fault them one bit. :)

fenix head lamp

Iv got the fenix hp 10 its very bright that's 230 lumes the hp 11 277 lumes I don't think you could get a more powerful head lamp for the price mate I would go for the fenix hp 11

ive got the hp11 its a excellent headlamp. has 4 light settings and at its max setting can light up a great distance. easily overpowers a minerslamp by tenfold.
a think u can pick them up for £35-50. easily the best headlamp ive had.

left is a petzl zoom converted to take a 6volt battery back for size comparison
Cree's on the right of the pic are original standard ones 3w, the cree at the bottom is the newer version brighter.

300Lumes 3W CREE LED TAKES 3XAAA HIGH POWER RECHARGEABLES BATTERY PACK AT FRONT BEHIND LENSE. GOOD ALL ROUNDED EASY TO ZOOM AND TILT UP AND DOWN DECENT ENOUGH FLOOD AND SPOT BEAM.

600LM CREE XP-G R5 LED Headlamp Headlight G3 Zoomable - tilt up and down is a little awkward spot beam fantastic loads a power flood beam not so good. battery back is on the back of the head strap takes 3x AAA high power batteries.

For batteries you need high power i use 1100 Mah AAA and they are good but you can get better Mah ones.

All the cree's can be sourced on ebay from UK Dealers models shown above you should get for between £5-£15 if you have any problems let me know, may sell a couple a mine once the new headlamp comes.

davey i think these lights what they say are so many lumens is a bit over estimated mate been browning about and 1 lumen is the equivalent to 1 candle power still bright as out mate compared to the light we used to use with bigger batteries technology bloody marvelous

Your right there stan, and too many people get lost in the lumens and want something as bright as can be, i just want something with a good flood beam but not the seperate battery packs just ordered a lenser h14 so will see what thats like.
