Although the forecast was for the wind to go North Westerly it seems to be taking its time doing it. With the big tide and calm conditions I would imagine a lot will be tryinf for a pier ticket for Tynemouth Pier, or going onto Blyth Pier for whiitings. No doubt some will be going to Druridge and Blyth beaches for flounders. For cod a good bet might be Hartley Island, Bog Hall rocks always gives up some fish. The Beacons at Newbiggin and Sharpness at Tynemouth could also give up a few cod.
