After fishing the past few days and nights with not much to show a decided to put the big gear away until the seas lift a bit and got the trusty little spinning gear out last night. With the bait that a had left over took a trip down Whitley pipe and using just a bog standard 3 way swivel, 2/0 hook and 2oz lead I caught and released 9 fish all codling, pouting and coalies. Fish wernt massive but on an 8ft spinning rod loaded with braid the bites where Al hammering away at the tip and put up some good scraps on way in! Al fish must have been less then 20yards out. Made the night fly with the amount of action just what a needed after a good few boring sessions and saved humping a box stand etc had Al a needed in a bag over the shoulder walking about .
