Birtley 20 zone

I drove through birtley tonight entering from station lane end over the bridge. Now i didnt notice the 20mph zone signs at first but as i left birtley heading for the angel of the north it came back to 30mph end of 20 zone.

I did notice the speed camera sign at the fire station, the picture of the camera was on the sign but the speed limit what is supposed to be under it, was blanked out in grey?
Does anyone have any information about that?

Maybe, maybe not. i was deffo doing under 30 but above 20 lol.

I dont think theyve changed camers yet mate. I work in gym in birtley and loads ov people been saying it ain't changed. Fingers crossed cos I flew past camera at 30 on Monday!!! Gutted!! Ha

OK mate, hope nowt happens. Worst case scenario i reckon is yer might get done but if yer were under 30 will be given the option of a speed awareness course, costs around 70 notes but no prosecution and no points on yer licence. It lasts for around 5 hours and they do them in sunderland and annitsford, I've been on two

Bit of advice if yer go on one, take a pillow with yer. some ppl would rather just take the rap.

I've got to say though that it is a good thing, it's made me slow down

HAHA. I've actually seen cars swerve out the way of me on my bike! Mustn't fancy there chances!!! Lol...
