first time fishing with new rod and braid on a big fixed spool.65lb power pro.still used a 80lb shocker.3 way swivel 80lb rig body, 30lb rotten bottom and 30lb hook snood.only lost 3 leads and snapped one hook(sakuma manta plus).never fished here before and got 2 lots of advice,one go on right side of crescent and cast towards light house the other go left side and cast into the crescent.you can see by the pic the one i chose.anyway had three what looked like good bites but that could be the braid.after missing the first think i nearly pulled the head of the next bite(guess i should just lift into a fish and not strike so hard).3rd bite fish was on then got snagged up.think it must have been on the top pennel hook as as when i got the line free i had snapped the bottom hook.got crab left and off this week so going back out ot six in morning
